Utilizing a circular electronic flash tube design that encompasses your lens provides shadow-free, even illumination on your subject. An added benefit of employing electronic flash technology rather than a continuous light source is that it will freeze action, so that a lively butterfly or flower waving in the breeze can be photographed as if they were posing for your picture. Unlike other ring lights that require a bulky and heavy power supply to be mounted to your camera’s hot shoe, the Macroflash is self-contained and economically and efficiently powered by only two AA-size Alkaline, NiCad or NiMH rechargeable batteries. You don’t even have to remember to turn the flash off as it incorporates “Auto-Off” circuitry to prolong battery life. This versatile Ring Light Flash can mount to almost any Digital or Film SLR lens using the supplied 52mm, 55mm, and 58mm adapter rings — or if necessary, with other optionally available adapter rings.
